I've just ordered Naughty Dates. The reviews online seem to be mixed, but frankly, this was the only fragrance in the Aromatix line that appealed to me because of the overtly Ramadan souq-ish notes. I haven't ventured into gourmands before and this seemed like the perfect tippy toe into that realm, plus I love my Qahwa, I love thamar and I like oud.
In perfumery, the bottle is there to present an experience, and the initial spray experience I got was arriving in a Middle Eastern airport and being received next to a cafe counter. It's a Starbucks or Tim Hortons (Astaghfurallah) and is serving lattes, yet I decide to order gahwa with heel. It's Ramadan (and given in this scenario I'm traveling I'm not fasting but everyone around me is) and it's Iftar time, and someone is passing the dates around while I'm having my gahwa. The trip feels complete and the gathering is blessed. This is the story that Naughty Dates tells me..... Ironically wholesome and not that naughty
